Caveat: The content of this narrative is protected by Section 3(2)(1)(b)(c)(ii) of the Sedition Act (1948) (Revised 1969 (Act 15) – it’s not sedition when you point out a fault or a flaw in any law or any government policy with the sole intention and goal of correcting such errors, omissions and mistakes for the betterment of the nation also protected by the freedom of thought, speech and action.
[1] According to available data and statistics there are 600 Aduns in all the eleven states and 222 MPs in Parliament. Sabah and Sarawak Aduns have been included in the grand total of approximately 600. Therefore, there are 822 legislators (lawmakers) while, thankfully, the Federal Territories of Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur and Labuan are not represented because too much government is never the solution. Not rocket science for these 822 who volunteered to enter politics to get the job done. Do they get anything done?
[2] 822 lawmakers should explore, think proactively to find ways and means to fix every problem, malfunction, snafu and fubar. These elected lawmakers won elections. If they perform efficiently and effectively they should be able to make Malaysia a role model. Is Malaysia a role model in socioeconomic and geopolitical models and modalities? We never hear from all 822 of them, do we? It’s not rocket science for at least one-third of the 822 lawmakers to produce plans that become policies for the betterment and well-being of YAB Rakyat.
[3] The list of problems, malfunctions, snafus and fubars is enormous based on socioeconomic needs and requirements for social democracy and social justice despite the evil caused by zealots, fanatics and troublemakers. 822 troubleshooting lawmakers have much to accomplish. It’s not rocket science for 822 elected representatives to set and put aside personal gain while YAB Rakyat endures pain. Do they really perform at optimum levels?
[4] First on the list is the end of corruption by re-establishing the death penalty as I am always fond of suggesting as a foolproof and permanent solution. How many of the 822 have offered or recorded legislative suggestions, proposals and recommendations to conclusively and permanently contain this cancer once and for all? It’s not rocket science to legislate and legalize public executions for the bribe-givers and the bribe takers at these newly erected hanging gardens.
[5] Then there is this malaise of litterbugs. Has any of the 822 suggested, proposed or recommended the installation of thousands of CCTV cameras to catch the errant and irresponsible and fine them till it hurts their wallets? I checked the record and could hardly find names of any of the 822 who articulated such ideas in their legislatures that ought to bear the name(s) of the proposer(s) for the sake of national pride. It’s not rocket science.
[6] Material change is what the 822 should focus on. For example, the appalling condition of our streets, roads, byways, and highways diseased and disfigured by uneven patchworks and unfixed potholes that cause havoc to our vehicles’ suspension systems. Is there a unspoken tryst between vehicle mechanics and the government? It’s not rocket science to fix this perennial problem as we have sufficient supply of labor, materials, asphalt and bitumen.
[7] Traffic jams constitute another major headache Mondays to Fridays, Have any of the 822 suggested staggered to and fro commuting times for school children, employees of the private and public sector? It is not rocket science to sit and plan a simple strategy, is it? You still can get eight hours in school and employment. There are 822 decision makers who seem unmotivated.
[8] Vehicular parking is another growing cancer. Millions of vehicles and too few parking areas. How come none of the 822 have proposed roadside multistorey mechanized car parks that can accommodate a few thousand vehicles (not lorries) instead of roadside parking that attracts and motivates double parking that block access and egress? It’s not rocket science to find effective solutions when a few of the 822 put their hearts, minds and souls into fixing this aggravating annoyance.
[9] Motorcyclists weaving in and out of traffic like it’s a normal mode of operating motorcycles. How many motorists can attest to broken side windows, or worse, fatal accidents by crazy motorcyclists who may be qualifying for Mat Rempit status, standing and stature. Are any of the 822 listening, or even hearing? Does it take rocket science for the PDRM to find ways and means to stop these lunatics on motorcycles playing daredevil acrobatics?
[10] North-South Highway was achieved by one prime minister who did it his way, Ok, good. But bad planning is another cancer. Today millions of vehicles on the highway require a second, possibly elevated highway pre-constructed offsite and installed above the existing highway so that one highway can be used solely for travelling North while the other for travelling South. This is something the 822 should dare to discuss. Not rocket science, really. An elevated highway constructed above the existing one will obviate compulsory land acquisition of other people’s land.
[11] Heavily populated urban centers should be free from vehicular traffic for freedom from vehicular pollution. Petaling Street, Masjid India, and other such heavy pedestrian traffic enclaves where shopping is the main focus. 822 lawmakers have lots of work to do if they divide and delegate their workload to maintain healthy state-federal relations.
[12] Abolishing taxation would be another major aspirin for the 822. RM334 billion collected in fiscal 2025. RM 334 billion if not collected can be printed by Giesecke-Devrient in Shah Alam. RM 334 billion in peoples wallets can do wonders, if not miracles, for the national economy in terms of savings and spending. Optics and outreach show that the system is designed to collect taxes while printing money at will.

[14] It further evidences the painful fact 882 lawmakers are unable to design a system of wages, salaries and emoluments that could create a higher middle-income society with price controls on necessities like food, shelter, clothing and utilities. How do these 822 spend 8 hours every day, that is, if they do work 8 hours every day from Mondays to Fridays, to make Malaysia a better place to live and retire peacefully?
[15] We are, hopefully, gratefully, and prayerfully, not heading towards national nihilism.
